Teen Electrocuted While Attempting to Trim Tree

A 17-year old high school student was killed Tuesday while attempting to trim a tree in the City of Fairfax Va.

The victim, Greg Malsam, was trying to help a neighbor trim a tree. While attempting to cut a branch one of the branches touched a high voltage power line. Electricity passed through the limbs and into Malsams body. He was found burned and unconscious in the tree about 20 feet up.

Malsam would have been a rising senior at Fairfax High School. On Wednesday, the school system sent out an e-mail to students and staff informing them of his death.
