Governor Celebrates Expansion of Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions
Raytheon Company today dedicated new offices for its Fairfax County-based Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions unit with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event featured remarks by Gov. Bob McDonnell; Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA); Bobbie Kilberg, president and CEO of the Northern Virginia Technology Council; and Ed Hammersla, chief operating officer, Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions.
RTCS technology enables government and civilian agencies to share and access information securely across multiple classified networks at different classification levels. RTCS’ certified and accredited solutions help customers protect sensitive and classified information, while ensuring that the information gets to the correct people in a timely manner.
RTCS relocated recently to its new 45,000-square-foot location in the town of Herndon to accommodate growth, which includes space for an additional 200 employees. Founded in 1994, Trusted Computer Solutions became part of Raytheon in November 2010. RTCS is part of Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems business.
