City of Fairfax Police Investigate Main Street Bank of America Robbery
City of Fairfax Police are investigating the robbery of the Bank of America branch located at 9500 Main Street which occurred about 1:20 PM on Monday, August 9. The lone male suspect entered the bank, approached a teller and produced a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he left the bank on foot, heading north on Pickett Road. No one was injured.
The suspect is described as white, in his twenties, approximately six feet tall, weighing about 150 pounds with blond hair. He was wearing a red baseball cap, a red Maryland Terrapins short-sleeve shirt and red shorts. Callers to Crime Solvers may remain anonymous and receive am award of up to $1000 if their information results in an arrest.
The last robbery of a financial institution in the City of Fairfax occurred on February 7, 2008.
